Saturday sees the running of the G2 Grosser-Hansa Preis over 2400m with 7 top horses.  Lordano  has ticked all the boxes and is on evens for Weiss-Piechulek.  Assistant has been knocking on the door and will be after the win here – he's on. 7/2 for Grewe-Hansen and we will add Tunnes in 13/2 – he ran in the Japan Cup in 2022 and is owned by the colourful Holger Renz whose horses names are in the Cologne dialect.  Andrasch Starke will ride for Klug.

Sunday sees the 155th running of the German Derby.  It is over 2400m and has a great field of 20 3yos but again the "no geldings" tag is in place. Narrative is by Adlerflug and won recently in Cologne at G2 level which is a popular route to this race.  He's from Peter Schiergen's stable with Murzabayev riding and is on 4.5

Wintertraum is by Lord is by Lord of England so Waldemar Hickst has imported an Irish jockey (but based in England) in Oisin Murphy and they are on 5.5.

Borna is on 7.5 for Klug-Starke.  He's by Saxon Warrior and they won the Italian Derby recently.  And our roughie is Queimados on 12.0 from the Wöhler yard with Pedroza riding.  They won a Listed race in Italy.
