Newcastle: Race 3; #10 Super Crisp
Nine start maiden who has not shown much to date and against some lighter raced horses I can't get him as short as the current price considering his SP last start. Further, the trainer is striking at just 2% their last 50 runners.
Newcastle: Race 4; #4 Nosferatu
Thinking the heavy track has changed the set up for NOSFERATU here now today. He goes up in distance for the first time and onto the heavy track now. Preferred him on a softer track as the heavy is a bit of an unknown and especially at this trip.
Jimbrook has been well supported in early markets and I can see why, he is on the quick back-up and comes through the best form race but he did start $17 in that race and made up most of his ground up the rails, which was a significant advantage on the day there at Geelong.
