Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Kembla Grange and Mornington.
KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 2 @ 12:45 PM
SMART LEGEND (5) is ready to make his return after undergoing the ultimate gear change during the break, being gelded. Had shown some positive signs in his first two starts but now looks to have come back in terrific order off the back of two impressive trial performances. Bold showing expected. KAPUNDA (7) is another that resumes. Failed to make an impact on debut at Moe when hard in the market before being sent straight back to the paddock. Two trial wins in readiness suggest he has come on nicely during the break. Likely to threaten. AFTERBOOMER (1) turned in a solid debut performance at Newcastle when beaten a long neck. Will have taken benefit from the experience. Worth following up. Can also make a case for SINNER (8) after his fresh placing.

MORNINGTON: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
A number of chances. ARAGON (1) came back to this distance beaten a half-length at Cranbourne. He draws for a soft run and Mertens stays aboard. Tipping he can go one better. AOIFE (7) improved again winning the 58 by a space over a mile and then was outgraded at Flemington. This suits better and she gives every indication the middle distance will suit. MYSTIC HIGH (8) also finds easier and has the winkers applied first time. The wide barrier needs managing. ISOLA SACRA (9) disappointed in Adelaide but the form prior is good enough and she's a chance as well.
