RACE 1

ONE WORLD (11) – Won a trial recently and gets blinkers added here with Michael Rodd in the saddle. Interesting.
PAPERBACK TROOPER (5) – Remains off a mark of 44 and should get competitive in this.
HEE’S FORTE (9) – Has won his last two starts (up 10) on both surfaces and champion jockey Vlad Duric takes the ride from a good barrier. Leading player.
LEO (2) – Sound effort last time out and looks a decent quartet filler here.

RACE 2

MR ALFONSO (1) – Clear pick on form given his runner-up finish to smart 2yo Big Hearted (has won 2YO 1st Leg since) and can prove too good here. One to beat.
RIVER RADIANCE (6) – Won a trial well very recently and his dam was a 2000m Listed race winner in New Zealand. He is very interesting on debut.
UNSUNG HERO (8) – Was fourth in the Big Hearted race behind Mr Alfonso and looks capable of improvement on that run.
SURPASS NATURAL (7) – Another to land a trial at first time of asking. He is related to a couple of sprinting winners and has the inside gate to race from here.

RACE 3

THOMAS DE LAGO (5) – Runner-up in latest trial to subsequent Group 1 winner Aramco and gets on great with Vlad Duric and he should go very close in a race like this.
PRATT STREET (11) – Doesn’t win all that often (31-2) but won a trial and is more than capable of a bold showing.
WHISTLING WIN (6) – Slipping to a very working mark and is two points lower now than when last successful. Should be watched closely.
MACH (7) – A first ride in Singapore for Raquel Clark and on the pick of his form he is a place chance at least.

RACE 4

RAPIDASH (8) – A running home fifth in a decent little Novice last time and that form should be good enough to win a race like this.
LORD JUSTICE (3) – Two nice trials on the back of a lengthy break. He is well related and may have benefitted from the time off games.
WELL VERSED (10) – Pushed out to run second in his only trial. He wouldn’t have to be any superstar to figure here. Interesting newcomer for the grade.
ORIENT EXPRESS (2) – Judged on his performance last time he would seem not one to trust, but this isn’t overly strong and the Saimee Jumaat stable are in pretty good form. Give one more chance.

RACE 5

YULONG SHENGDAO (1) – Chased Clarton Star to the line last time when beaten only ½ length, he gets a nice pull in the weights with a good claimer booked and can reverse the placings this time.
CLARTON STAR (7) – Ran home well to score on latest start, he has gone up five points for the win, and Vlad Duric takes the ride. Solid chance.
AVENGERS HERO (4) – Normally gets a mile back and runs on strongly in the closing stages, expect the same here.
SUGARTIME JAZZ (9) – Start 100 for this old timer and has run some fair races of late, would be lovely to see him succeed on this landmark career outing.

RACE 6

BOHEMIAN (15) – The first emergency but if she gets a run, she might well be able to break her maiden tag at start 42.
HEAVENLY HAND (1) – Has a horror barrier but if able to overcome it, she should be bang in there.
MONT CHOISY (10) – Worked well this week and is a place chance.
RACING TALENT (4) – Would have a bit more talent than some of these, so should be included.

RACE 7

NOVA VOCAL (3) – Now back into Class 3 company and has proven himself in the grade, fourth in a trial (Mokastar second) and has a nice set-up here. Big chance.
CALCULATION (4) – Won in first-time blinkers last start and has gone up five points for that victory. He is well suited to the conditions of this race and is a danger to all.
FULIFE KING (5) – The step-up in grade should not cause any problem to him on the back of a good strong win. Has a very good chance from a good barrier.
LONHRO GOLD (6) – Will be right in the firing line from the outset and comes into this on the back of a good win at odds.

RACE 8

LIM’S CRAFT (6) – Very strong maiden form prior to winning last time out and would have further scope than most of these. One to beat here.
SUPER DENMAN (4) – Down a further couple of points and is beginning to look nicely handicapped on the balance of his form. Watch closely.
FLAUNT (13) – Need to gain a start, he is in good form and should go well if he gets a start.
DECRETO (5) – Is slipping to a dangerously well handicapped mark now and a keen market watch is key. Can easily run well under these circumstances.
