SINGAPORE: Rocket Man's Dubai Nemesis Has Landed

After the safe delivery of Singapore Airlines International Cup contender Chinchon earlier in the morning, Saturday's second batch of international arrivals in the afternoon also took place without a glitch for Krypton Factor and Invincible Ash, both KrisFlyer International Sprint contenders.

Bahrain's Krypton Factor is viewed as Rocket Man's main danger in next Sunday's Group 1 KrisFlyer International Sprint (1200m) after he defeated the Singapore flyer in the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen (1200m) last March.

Invincible Ash is prepared in Ireland by Michael Halford but had stayed in Dubai after finishing unplaced in the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint last March.

Dr Kieran Finn of the Singapore Turf Club veterinary department said both sprinters took no ill-effects from the seven-hour flight from Dubai.

“They are both pretty calm and look in good shape,” said Dr Finn. “They are both healthy and came with no injuries.

“I was told by their grooms that they ate and drank well during the flight.”
