Bowie’s Babe A Topical Tip

Bowie’s Babe will relish a drop in class and distance when contesting the Magic Millions Benchmark 60 at Muswellbrook on Thursday.

The daughter of Nicconi was a strong first up winner over 1000m at Gunnedah before connections elected to run her in a Class 2 Highway Handicap (1200m) at Rosehill on December 19.

The daughter of Falvelon while inconsistent has drawn favourably.

Her jockey/trainer combination of Robert Thompson and Rodney Northam is a particularly formidable one throughout country New South Wales also.

Farah has placed in his past two outings, the latest when working nicely into third over this distance at Taree.

The son of Commands has drawn to receive all of the favours in transit from barrier and can make his presence felt at the business end of proceedings.

Strathaird drops back from provincial level after a battling first up effort over this trip at Gosford.
