Waller Runner A Grand Chance At The Farm

Grand Marshall should get punters off to a winning start when stepping out in the Tab Early Quaddie Bm 70 (2200m) at Warwick Farm today.

The lightly raced Chris Waller-trained runner has a good record and comes into this off a last start win at this C/D.

Grand Marshall is right up in the weights today with 61kg, but gets a much needed 3kg claim by apprentice jockey John Kissick.

Rates well on weight adjusted Timeform figures against a small field and looks well placed to go on with it here.

Proven over the trip and has shown good improvement throughout this preparation. Should be at his peak fourth up and will be hard to hold out.

Stablemate Sahann also stays under notice after a much improved effort at Newcastle last start over a similar trip.

The former French runner who also had a stint in Victoria with Anthony Freedman has produced mixed results in Australia however ran on very well last start and must be considered here on that form.

Top jockey Nash Rawiller goes on board for the first time and in a small field can certainly make his presence felt over the concluding stages.

Monaco Doll also steps up in grade having run well at the provincials in recent times.

Followed up two wins with two placings with Hugh Bowman to go back on board.

Has shown enough of late to suggest she can measure up in a race like this and the extra 100m on offer today should not pose a problem.

Miss Ta Ta steps right up in grade today having finished runner up at Wagga last start but looks a lightweight chance.

The Mark Gee runner only has the 54.5kg and also gets a 3kg claim from apprentice jockey Brodie Loy.

She certainly comes into consideration here on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and would not be surprised to see her running into a placing.
