Timeform Tuesdays - April 1

The Greg Bennet trained Pompidou has returned in good order this time in and appears well placed to break back into the winner's stall at Tamworth this afternoon.

Having won well at Scone two back the daughter of Lonhro proceeded to finish third at Newcastle last start when making up good ground from towards the rear of the field.

On Timeform weight adjusted ratings that performances see hers rated on top on in the third event and if able to improve further she does appear very hard to beat.

From the gun draw she should attempt to settle down midfield and gets some added weight relief with the aid of the two kilogram.

In a race with not a whole lot of depth Pompidou is expected to take a power of beating.

KARAMEA:

Has placed in a barrier trial on March 21. Resumes here after a 112 day break. Should be fitter for the trial and has won first up before. Won't be surprised to see her in the placings.

MURVATE:

Very good off a break at Armidale when resuming. Likely to measure up strongly on the back of that, and is capable of improvement. Must be respected.

UNIKIN:

Resumes. Struggled at the back end of last preparation but has a good fresh record and should be kept safe here.

JUST COOKING:

Nothing wrong with a 0.8L win at Gunnedah in a Class 2 last time out. Drawn to get the run of the race and has minor place claims.

FRENCH TARTE:

Resumes here. Form at the back end of last preparation was mixed at best. Drawn well in three and is not the worst of them.

MISSING IN ACTION:

Resumes off a five months break. Has form over staying trips so prefer later over longer.

MY AMALFI:

Has been below her best for a long time and is now winless in 388 days. Comfortably held when sixth at this track last start and hard to have on recent efforts.
