Having a Quaddie? Take Secluded one-out in the last.

The Paul Messara trained Secluded is out to pick up where she left off when she resumes in The Chifley Benchmark 75 Sprint (1100m) at Canterbury this afternoon.

4 from 5 for Secluded??

A well-bred daughter of Hussonet, Secluded has raced just four times, improving with each run and winning her last three.

She made her debut with a sound midfield effort at Wyong before shedding her maiden tag at the second time of asking, winning a Newcastle maiden in good style.

Next she stepped out at Randwick and again was able to score with the form subsequently boosted by a handful of the beaten brigade.

Prior to a spell Secluded was tested in tougher again, this time on a Saturday at Warwick Farm. There were no stars amongst the fillies that lined up but Secluded marked herself down as a horse to follow with another strong win.

Given time to come on since then this looks an achievable first-up target for the now four-year-old mare and a good recent trial suggested that she is back in good order.

Another progressive four-year-old shapes as the main danger with the Joe Pride trained Scandalize looking to make it three from three this time in after good wins at Gosford and Hawkesbury.

Despite only beating a small field at Hawkesbury the form has a solid look about it with the runner up going on to improve his figures in two runs since.

Scandalize has since trialled well and looks set to get a good run here pushing forward in a race that doesn’t have a huge amount of speed on paper.

Oakfield Commands has to give weight all around here but he’s earned that in this grade having put together a handy overall record.

His first-up run was typically good and if able to step up on that form here he is going to be right around the mark.

Quick Peek has not made a great habit of winning (he’s 717 days and 16 runs without success) but he does have ability and has at times been ambitiously placed.

He’s sure to appreciate kicking off in a suitable race like this and is a must for the multiples.

Written Consent is a limited type but racing consistently well and is another to throw in for those playing the multis.

Good luck and happy punting.
