Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Goulburn, Lismore, Cranbourne, Ballarat, Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton.

GOULBURN: RACE 4 @ 1:40 PM

TWO AYE (3) put in a solid effort at Wagga on debut before travelling to Scone and just missing. She's promising and the extra metres won't bother. Fitter and is clearly the one to beat. KENICHI (2) is a local on resumption and has switched from a Sydney barn. The debut effort at Canberra suggested he has a future and no surprise if he goes well. QUIZY (5) missed 1L here on the heavy and peaks now. Has an awkward gate but is another local with a chance. FAIRNESS IS BEST (1) missed a whisker twice before a plainer run here on the heavy. A bounce is likely on a better surface.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Two Aye.

LISMORE: RACE 3 @ 1:25 PM

FIREFLIES (3) was just fair when last seen at Eagle Farm but that was a much stronger race and she looks hard to beat back in grade. Still lightly raced, the trip should be fine for this daughter of Not A Single Doubt and she might have a bit too much class. I'MTIMMYZOU (4) won two in a row prior to last start when finishing midfield at Gold Coast Poly. Back onto turf should only suit better although he too is unproven at the trip. SOLAROSA (10) was in the market but finished last, beaten 10 lengths at Murwillumbah last start. She can be forgiven for the heavy ground there and the run prior when second at Grafton reads well. BAD INFLUENCE (5) was too bad to be true at Gatton last start but her run prior was solid and she can figure in the minor placings.
SELECTIONS: Fireflies to win.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 4 @ 7:15 PM

KEEVS (5) has progressed nicely with each effort in his debut prep. Went close to getting off the mark last start at Bendigo when charging home to miss by a head. The extra 200m shouldn't be a bother. Ready to shed the maiden tag. MY LANCELOT (6) closed off nicely into fourth at the latest after travelling near the tail in running. The extra journey should suit on the nine day turn around. One of the key threats. SECRET AMBITION (7) has struggled to make an impact so far. Strips fitter again and should appreciate the sharp rise in trip. WHISPERING BOB (9) next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Keevs to win.

BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 1 @ 1:00 PM

ZARTAMAY (2) relished the extra distance when improved sharply to run third over 1200m at Kilmore on May 11. Drawn to get the right run today and looks too sharp for these. SELF WORTH (5) beaten for early speed and was doing best work late when sixth over 1200m at Ballarat on May 14. Blinkers come off now and finds a fairly weak maiden. FINE REBEL (4) in need of the run when resumed with a plodding seventh over 1000m at Cranbourne on May 12. Placed second up last time in and a forward showing is expected. SMOKEY WARRIOR (6) is a first starter by Warrior's Reward from the Brady Cross stable. Trained locally and recent jump outs have been sound. Must be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Zartamay to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 7:00 PM

HOOT 'N' HOLLER (9) did not show her best in two runs last prep in richer company and was then put aside to mature. All of her three wins have come on wet tracks and her recent trial placing will have her primed for a big effort fresh up. She is the one to beat back in this company. RALPHIE (3) has gone from strength to strength this campaign and her last two wins have been effortless. She is more than capable of taking the next step and completing a well deserved hat-trick. OCEAN EMPEROR (1) has started favourite more often than not this campaign but just can't seem to crack another win. He has been given a freshen-up and does drop back in class. Watch closely. BRING ME KASH (5) was too strong over 800 metres fresh up at Ipswich and has obviously come back in great order. His wide draw will make it tough today but on the promise he has shown in his short career he cannot be left out of any combinations. He can even win with the right run.
SELECTIONS: Hoot 'N' Holler to win.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 7 @ 2:27 PM

DEVIL KICK (7) has been plainer since the easy win this grade and a narrow defeat in a 65 after, both around this circuit. Ran a 15-8 favourite at Mackay last time and has been freshened. Draws a low gate and can bounce back in this line-up. FUTURE IDEA (4) ran favourite at Mackay but got too far back from an outside gate. Fitter now and can make the finish. POLICE (1) has a handy 3kg claim in easier grade and go on the heavily-bet win at Mackay two-back. He's also been freshened and is very honest. FARMER'S FRIEND (3) brings strong improving form at this level and is also a hope.
SELECTIONS: Backing Devil Kick.
