Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 27.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Sandown Hillside, Eagle Farm and Belmont Park.
RANDWICK: RACE 5 @ 1:20 PM
KAZOU (4) looks the one to beat. She's won two of her past three, the miss coming when beaten 2 lengths in a handy race in Melbourne. She was back to her best at Randwick Kensington as a short priced favourite last start, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Should go close. AIR TO AIR (5) is the danger. She's only had three runs for Waterhouse & Bott and won two of them, running out a comfortable winner at Warwick Farm last start. Probably gives the favourite a head start here but is hard to knock. PIN ME UP (3) creates interest at her first Australian start. She took on a listed race at Hastings at her last outing and went around single figures. Watch the market. DARALINA BELLE (9) is tracking along okay and in the each-way mix here.

RANDWICK: RACE 6 @ 1:55 PM
ESTADIO MESTALLA (4) ran well first up behind a smart one but was set a task second up at Scone, working home fairly as favourite. Drawn to sit much closer here and 2000m should suit nicely third up. Looks value. UNSPOKEN (3) put aside an unlucky run at Hawkesbury two back to find the line well at Scone for second last time out. Out to 2000m now looks to suit perfectly and he draws better this time. Top show. NAVAL COLLEGE (12) is a progressive four-year-old who won well in an easier race at Randwick Kensington last start. The further the better for him and he drops 5.5kg in the weights. WRATHFUL (19) has won 3/6, hitting the line strongly as an odds on favourite at Scone last start. Drawn wide again here but will be running on. BISCAYNE BAY (8) beat Unspoken home at Hawkesbury and meets him 3kg better here. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Something on Estadio Mestalla & Biscayne Bay.
SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 3 @ 1:00 PM
GOOD AND PROPER (1) rounded them up in some style two starts back then closed just as strongly last time but from too far back having been taken right to the tail of 16 from the widest alley. Smaller field here means that she should be able to track them within striking distance and if she continues to race as she has been then she can take care of them. BELLE SAVOIR (3) is the one capable of matching Good And Proper but she was very plain last time. Can forgive her that and she was building okay prior. RIVAPORT (5) has been freshened up after a plain one. The win here two back gives her a hope. LACRIMA (2) and FRIGID (6) are others to consider.
SELECTIONS: Good And Proper is going too well to ignore.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 1 @ 11:43 AM
YASUKE (13) is a promising colt dropping sharply in weight and grade for this. Got back from the wide draw and strong late when seventh in the Rough Habit Plate G3 over 2000m at Doomben on May 13. Drop back to the mile suits and can pounce on them late from the gate. Hard to hold out. KINETIC (12) has come back a much stronger mare this time in and chasing her third straight victory. Gets the right run and building a nice record this course and distance. Looks up to the task. THE DROVER (10) doesn't have the best win record but hard fit now fifth up. Brings sound figures here and expected to take a hand in the finish. PENTITO (8) at his top for this and made up many lengths late when second over 1600m at this track on April 29. Races best fresh and look for him late.
SELECTIONS: Yasuke to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:05 PM
CATALPA (1) was a brilliant winner fresh then had a wide run and boxed on strongly here two weeks ago. Pike takes over and he gets his chance to bounce back. QUEEN ALINA (7) is a middle distance type resuming and she is capable of a nice race fresh. Was consistent last time in and sure to run well. TRADE WAR (2) tried hard when resuming and can only be fitter. Doesn't win out of turn but is usually around the mark. KOHLI (11) and SHE'S A SWEET DEEL (12) are each-way chances.
SELECTIONS: Catalpa to win. Trifecta 1-2,7,11,12/2,7,11,12.
