Michael Scudamore is delighted to have secured the services of Grand National-winning jockey Liam Treadwell to partner Monbeg Dude in the Aintree spectacular next Saturday.
Treadwell struck gold aboard 100-1 shot Mon Mome in 2009 and will next weekend partner a horse who performed with great credit when seventh in the race 12 months ago.
The 10-year-old has not won this season, but he has run with great credit in defeat on several occasions, though he was unable to get in a blow behind The Druids Nephew at Cheltenham last time.
Scudamore said: "All being well, Liam will ride him and we're delighted. He's been riding for us for a couple of seasons and is always a big help in the yard.
"He has a good experience around the track and if he can produce the goods like he did on Mon Mome, that would be great.
"He's had a pop on the horse before and has ridden him in plenty of work, so he knows the horse better than most."
