Michael Scudamore is delighted to have secured the services of Grand National-winning jockey Liam Treadwell to partner Monbeg Dude in the Aintree spectacular next Saturday.

Fortunately not on Friday 13th but Saturday 14th with 40 runners to line up for the 7200m chase.

Outstanding Grade One Lexus Chase winner Synchronised, owned by J P McManus and trained by Jonjo O'Neill, has been allotted top-weight of 11st 10lb for this year's John Smith's Grand National, which takes place over four and a half miles and 30 fences at Aintree on Saturday, April 14.

Many of the best chasers in training are among the entries announced today for the 2012 running of the world's most famous Jump race, the John Smith's Grand National.

After a relatively quiet period at the start of the month there are good races to be found at both Ascot and Haydock Saturday.
