Ridden by apprentice A’Isisuhairi ‘Harry’ Kasim, Nature Is Nature held on to score by a neck from Gold Rutile (Alan Munro) with Irish Coffee (Manoel Nunes) three-quarters-of-a-length away third.

Nature Is Nature recorded a time of 1 min 24.04 secs on the track softened by rain.

A’Isisuhairi took full advantage of his inside draw and didn’t go around a horse in the run.

Lamborghini Flame (Shafiq Rizuan) led the way from Ghost Speedy (Jose De Sousa) and Leave Me Alone (Koh Teck Huat) back in third place. Empire Bay (Corey Brown) and Nature Is Nature were next in line.

Prior to the turn A’Isisuhairi looked to get away from the fence but was held in a pocket and instead improved up on the fence to be in fourth place turning for home.

Soon after straightening Lamborghini Flame lugged away from the fence and A’Isisuhairi took full advantage by taking a run up on the fence and hitting the lead with 200m to run, holding on for a brave win.

Nature Is Nature broke his maiden status when successful in Class 4 company back on September 22 before again winning in that grade on October 6.

“He couldn’t even win a maiden,” said Burridge. “He ran four seconds in maiden races and he is now winning three on end.

“We were just finding it hard to get the right race for him, that’s why I put him in a 1400m Class 4 race when he won.

“The 1000m, 1100m and 1200m were all too short for him and he needed the 1400m for his best. Also getting down a bit in the weights helped as well.

“I think getting that first win under his belt also gave him a bit of confidence as well.”

A’Isisuhairi said Nature Is Nature travelled kindly in the run and added the run on the fence presented itself at the right time.

“He travelled very well in the race but I was looking to angle out,” said A’Isisuhairi. “But I was locked up on the inside and had to ride him for luck.

“Luckily the run came for me at the right time and he took full advantage of it when it did come.

“He’s a lot more mature now also as a horse. Last time he used to play up at the gates, but he’s more settled now and is now a racehorse.”

A five-year-old by Lago Delight from Always Greatest, Nature Is Nature has won three of his 10 starts with five minor placings and has won almost $150,000 in prizemoney for the D’Creator Stable.
