Ayutthaya Set To Break Through

The Lee Freedman trained Ayutthaya displayed good improvement last start and now appears well placed to break through in the sixth event at Kranji.

Only lightly raced, Ayutthaya has displayed good ability in four starts and clearly appreciated the step up to 1400m last start.

Ridden by Harry Kasim, Ayutthaya looked home when taking over passing the 300m, only to be gunned down by Bull N Rum.

Still stuck on well to finish second and returned a new career peak in the process.

Should be right at his peak racing third up and although drawn wide, he should be able to find a spot midfield.

On an upward spiral, he looks to have a bit on his rivals, barring the 'unknown' debutants.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he is clearly the horse to beat and is unlikely to be a maiden for much longer.

The Donna Logan trained Geb Warrior finished behind the former last start, but was hitting the line well and shapes as the main danger.

He too is only lightly raced (five starts) and looks to be trending the right way having only been narrowly beaten two back.

Quite a large horse (601kg) he should improve further with racing and has drawn to settle ahead of Ayutthaya in running.

If able to build on his last start performance he is sure to make his presence felt.

The John O'Hara trained Red Bird has displayed decent ability at the trials and has to be kept safe on debut.

While he's yet to really do anything against the clock at the trials, his latest victory was done in fine style and he looks to have a bit of upside.

He's notably drawn to receive all the favours on the inside and a market watch is strongly advised with Nooresh Juglall aboard.

The Michael Clements trained Wonder Success failed to do anything in her Singapore debut, however her form prior in France was fairly solid and she remains under strong notice.

Has displayed talent in the past, talent good enough to be winning a maiden in Singapore.

Good luck and happy punting.
