Jupiter Gold has returned in good order with a narrow win in the Kranji Stakes A over 1200m in Singapore on Friday night.

Last seen when winning the Singapore Derby (1800m) in July, Jupiter Gold was able to drop back in trip off a freshen up and secure his ninth career win from just the 22 starts, his third over 1200m.

Settling just off midfield from barrier 2, Jupiter Gold ran on strongly in the straight to edge out Biraz by a narrow margin in second with Special King third.

The Hideyuki Takaoka-trained runner will now head towards the Group 1 Raffles Cup, the first leg of the revamped Triple Crown series, followed by the Queen Elizabeth Cup (1800m) and Singapore Gold Cup (2000m).

Jupiter Gold returned a Timeform figure of 103, six pounds below his Derby win but still the second best of his career to this point.

The son of Congrats will certainly head towards the Singapore Triple Crown races as one of the leading chances.

Biraz was very good in second, returning a new career peak Timeform figure of 85, two pounds below his previous outing when runner up to Marine Treasure in a Class 2 on the turf.

Special King who was under a length away from the winner also continued his strong recent form, also returning a new career peak Timeform figure of 86, two pounds above his previous two outings.

Later in the evening Sir Isaac was able to bounce back to the winners circle, coming from last in the run to take out the second Kranji Stakes A over 1200m.

Resuming with a narrow second in a Kranji Stakes C over 1000m the start prior with 59.5kg, Sir Isaac appreciated the drop to 50.5kg on Friday and produced a terrific turn of foot over the final 200m to edge out Olympic Anthem with Hermano Menor third.

The Cliff Brown-trained runner ran to a Timeform figure of 86, two pounds below his previous effort with the big weight when runner up.

On Sunday there were several handy winners throughout the card including Nowyousee who followed up some strong recent form with a much deserved win in the Class 3 over 1100m.

Settling up on the speed, the Lee Freedman-trained runner kicked away in the straight to win by just under five lengths from Cousteau in second with Nova Vocal third.

Nowyousee returned a new career peak Timeform figure of 88, three pounds above his previous best achieved twice last campaign.

Earlier in the day Siam Blue Vanda made it two wins from as many starts in the Novice over 1200m.

Settling just off the leaders with Glen Boss on board, Siam Blue Vanda hit the lead inside the 300m and managed to just hold off Revolution in second after Boss sat up over the final stages.

The Michael Clements-trained runner ran to a Timeform figure of 75p, six pounds below his devastating win on debut over 1100m.

Working his way through the grades nicely, the three-year-old gelding will continue to work through the grades and is one to keep an eye on going forward.
