There was just the one meeting in Singapore over the weekend with Kranji playing host to an eight race card on Friday night.

Mr Fantastic was able to fight back late and claim victory in the Kranji Stakes A (1200m) following some decent form prior.

Leading from a wide barrier, the six-year-old gelding was headed by Aramco in the straight but under heavy riding by Varend Vorster fought back over the concluding stages to claim a narrow win over Super Fortune in second with Aramco third.

Running well for sixth in the Group 1 Lion City Cup, Mr Fantastic went on to finish midfield in a Kranji Stakes A over 1400m two back and certainly relished the drop to 1200m on Friday.

The Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner returned a Timeform figure of 97, his highest winning a Kranji Stakes A earlier in the year (103).

Super Fortune was good in second, running to a new career peak Timeform figure of 96 with Aramco in third also running to a new career peak of 95.

Former Dubai runner Noah Of Goa was disappointing in fifth but you would expect him to improve on that effort going forward this campaign.

Arhat has managed to secure his first win in over a year, taking out the Class 3 over 1700m on the Polytrack with Michael Rodd on board.

On speed for much of the race, the Michael Clements-trained runner did enough to secure a very narrow win over O’What A Feeling in second with Supernova close up in third.

Arhat had not won since June of last year over this C/D in a Class 3, also breaking a class record on that occasion with the time 1:45:00 much faster than he managed on Friday however the drop back from Stakes races appeared to do the trick.

Arhat returned a Timeform figure of 80, his highest since running third in a Stakes C over this C/D four back with the outsider O’What A Feeling running to a new career peak of 72 with Supernova in third losing no admirers running to a figure of 75.
