Good races in both Saturday and Sunday
Saturday saw the running of the Grosser Hansa-Preis G2 and Lordano winning like a favourite should win. He always looked to be in a good position and when the time came for Piechulek to say "go" he provided the right response. Tunnnes ran very well to take second with Mr Hollywood on 5/1 third, and Assistant fourth.
The going was supposed to be soft but did not seem to be cutting up.
On Sunday it was time for the big one and it was a big one with a field of 20 runners so an upset was not unexpected and it arrived in the form of Palladium, 23/1, ridden by Thore Hammer Hansen with Henk Grewe the trainer. The horses were wide across the track so a photo was essential here and the second spot went to Borna who won on the other side of the track with the margin a neck and then third a head away on the same side as Borna was Augustus 15/1.
