Sun Chariot at Newmarket

For those in the UK and not in France there is some compensation Saturday.

And that is at Newmarket where the Sun Chariot G1 over 1600m looks fascinating.

Sitting comfortably on top is David Menuisier's Tamfana with Colin Keane booked for the ride and 9/4 about right.

But then the fun starts – can last year's winner Inspiral do it again in her last race?  The Gosdens have Rob Havlin booked to ride and the current quote is 10/3.  She hasn't been at her greatest but there is often a lot of familiarity with course and conditions that get a horse back to their top.  She has a serious challenger in Sea The Fire from the Andrew Balding yard with Oisin Murphy doing the steering and they are on the same quote.

And then there is Nashwa, another Gosden runner with Hollie Doyle choosing to ride here rather than go to France to ride Trueshan.  Nashwa has missed most of the summer and usually needs a prep run but has been working very well and connections are confident that she will do better than her 9/2 quote.
