Whitebeam repeats the win in the Diane at Saratoga.

The first of the Gr 1 races for the Saratoga season went to Whitebeam who had won the race last year.  Not sure what it is with horses – the weather, the atmosphere, the scene that often gets horses to repeat their wins of the previous year.  Whitebeam was one of Chad Brown's five entries and the ride of Flavian Prat.  Canadian Horse of the Year Moira was second and Gina Romantica, another Brown, was third with Manny Franco in the irons.
