Our selections in the Ballerina took out the trio but not in the same order – Society was the winner from Scylla who was some 3 lengths back in second and favourite Vahra third. 

Mulikin was a tear-away winner in the Forego finishing 5 lengths clear of Gun Pilot  with Angkor 8'1 third just ahead of Cagliostra.

Domestic Product won the Allen Jenkins with Prince of Monaco who started favourite second and Book'em Danno third.

The Travis made a fitting finale to a thrilling afternoon with a ding-dong battle between Fierceness and Thorpedo Anna with Fierceness just getting the head in front.  Sierra Leone was his usual honest self in coming third.

At Del Mar Raging Torrent 6/1 got the nod in over The Chosen Vron a very short-priced favourite with Big City Lights 16/1 third.

America is now looking towards the Breeders' Cup but there is still plenty of action in Europe.
