Be Bee Poised To Strike

Talented mare Be Bee appears very well placed to make a winning return, when due to contest the seventh event at Kranji this evening.

Trained by Shane Baertschiger, Be Bee is unbeaten first up (3/3) and gets in very well at the weights.

While failing to feature in the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy [1400m] prior to a break, her form in the lead up was very good, including an impressive victory first up.

A winner of five of her 13 starts, including four minor placings, Be Bee has only missed the money once in eight attempts over 1200m.

On the turf track she has placed in six of 10 attempts, including three victories.

Off the scene for 70 days, Be Bee has been given two trials in the lead up, most recently saluting comfortably under John Powell.

Carrying 72kg, Be Bee coasted to the line down the outside to defeat the Cliff Brown trained Bengal Lancer.

All appears in great order for her return and while drawn a touch awkwardly, trust in Ben Thompson to give her a good steer.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings, Be Bee sits well clear on best form and should prove very hard to beat.

The Alvin Tan trained Super Fortune failed to fire last start, however his effort fresh was very good and prepared to give him another chance.

On best form, he is more than capable and with Daniel Moor booked, he looms as a major threat.

Stablemate Maximus isn’t at his best on the turf, but is certainly racing in career best form and cannot be taken lightly.

A winner of four of his last 10 starts, Maximus is low level flying at present and while he is better over further, he should be strong late.

Of the rest last start winner Affleck appears the next in line.

Successful in breaking a long winning drought, Affleck is in good form for his new stable and only looks to have to hold his form to be right around the mark again.

Good luck and happy punting.
