Major Advancement To Remain Unbeaten

An impressive debut win lives the David Kok trained Major Advancement well placed to notch up back to back wins at Kranji this evening.

Due to contest the final event, Major Advancement concedes race experience to all of his rivals, however he looks to be loaded with ability.

Having created quite the impression at the trials prior to his debut, Major Advancement proceeded to make light work of his rivals.

Ridden by Glenn Boss, Major Advancement had to overcome a few obstacles when caught in behind runners on straightening.

Eased to the outside approaching the 200m, Major Advancement let down powerfully to quickly hit the front, drawing away for an easy win.

Marked well above an average maiden winner, Major Advancement also recorded time figures ahead of the bare form and is definitely one to follow.

He gives the impression he will be even better over further and in truth with even luck, he really could have properly spaced his rivals.

Admittedly it is never easy for horses to make the jump from maiden grade to Class 4 company, however he rates highly when assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings.

Adding to that, Major Advancement beat home two subsequent winners and the form appears quite strong moving forward.

While a majority of his rivals have already reached their respective mark, the future certainly appears bright for Major Advancement.

The wide draw is a slight concern, however Glen Boss sticks aboard and should be able to slot in just off the speed.

Expected to improve sharply on his debut performance, Major Advancement is expected to be very hard to beat.

The Mark Walker trained Lim's Knight has been right around the mark in recent performances and has to be included in the main hopes.

A winner of two of his nine starts, Lim's Knight has also placed on a further five occasions, most recently finishing third at this track behind Aramco.

From the rails draw he looks to receive all the favours and gets in well at the weights after the claim.

If able to hold his form, he is expected to make his presence felt.

The Cliff Brown trained Deimos failed to fire last start, however he is clearly better than that and is worth another chance.

An impressive maiden winner first up, Deimos was sent out the odds-on favourite at his next start only to be safely held behind Terms Of Reference.

Now stepping out onto the turf for the first time, Deimos is expected to show sharp improvement and a return to his best form sees him right in the finish.

Another drawn off the track, however with Vlad Duric aboard he is likely to roll forward and should be in this for a long way.

Of the rest the Ricardo Le Grange trained Barnato appears the next in line.

While he too failed to fire a shot last start, he did have excuses and is certainly more than capable when right.

He possesses a solid record at this course and distance and remains under strong notice from the inside draw.

Good luck and happy punting.
