Super Winner To Be Just That

The Theo Kieser trained Super Winner failed to fire in Korea however he appears well placed to make a winning return in the seventh event at Singapore this evenin

One of Singapore's leading sprinters connections elected to chance their hand, however Super Winner simply didn't handle the foreign conditions.

While a marvel on the polytrack, Super Winner was unable to perform at his best on the sand track finishing midfield behind Hong Kong based galloper Super Jockey.

Prior to his trip overseas, Super Winner had won four of his last five start and was clearly in career best form.

From 18 attempts in Singapore, Super Winner has only missed the money once and has collected 11 wins.

His record on the polytrack is even more impressive, from 12 attempts he was won 10 and placed on both other occasions.

In three attempts over 1100m, Super Winner is unbeaten and while giving weight away he looks to set the bar too high for his rivals.

With 84 days between runs, Super Winner has since trialled well, not knocked around when saluting narrowly over 1000m.

Although no flash time (1:01:43), Super Winner carried 65kg and never got out of first gear under jockey Antonio Da Silva.

Leading rider Manoel Nunes links aboard for the first time and looks to receive all the favours from the inside draw.

Ever versatile, Nunes can settle Super Winner wherever he sees fit as the five-year-old can win either on-speed or ridden quiet.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings Super Winner possesses a distinct edge over his rivals and should have too much class.

Already Group 1 placed, Super Winner is expected to round out the season on a winning note.

The Patrick Shaw trained The General wasn't beaten far behind Poseidon last start and has to be respected dropping back in trip.

A winner of five of his 23 starts, The General is more than capable when right and he too possesses a solid record at this track (placed 12/16).

In five attempts over this trip, The General has placed in four and has only missed the money once with Nooresh Juglall aboard.

From the inside draw he appears to get a lovely run in transit and if up to his best he shouldn't be too far away.

Stablemate Royal Ruler has to improve on his last start performance however his record is very impressive (placed 15/18) and he has to be respected.

In 12 attempts on the polytrack he has placed in 10 and although drawn awkwardly, he can roll forward to negate this hindrance.

Admittedly he has a bit too find on Super Winner, however he is clearly consistent and shouldn't be too far away with Vorster aboard.

Of the rest the Michael Clements trained Italian Job appears the next in line.

A handy third behind Olympic Anthem last start, Italian Job gets his chance at the weights and cannot be taken lightly from the inside draw.

Good luck and happy punting.
