Tesoro Privado has picked up where he left off with a resuming win in the Kranji Stakes A over 1400m on Friday night.
Winning his last two starts prior to a spell, the Lee Freedman-trained runner was able to return very well going to the lead and proving too strong for his rivals, beating Robin Hood by just under three lengths with Blue Swede third.
Despite returning a new career peak Timeform figure of 98, unfortunately Tesoro Privado bled and will not be able to race for at least three months.
The impressive four-year-old gelding has now won six of his 14 starts, placing on a further six occasions and hopefully can return in good order early next year for a big campaign.
On Sunday Lord Of Cloud ran on strongly to take out the Class 3 over 1400m, holding off the fast finishing Quarter Back in second with Enchanted Mister third.
Having not won since earlier in the year, Lord Of Cloud showed significant improvement from his previous effort when fifth in a Kranji Stakes C over the mile and certainly appreciated the drop to 1400m.
Lord Of Cloud ran to a Timeform figure of 79 with the light weight, his highest rating since the Singapore Guineas earlier in the year and seems to prefer the 1400m trip on the turf.
The lightly raced Quarter Back produced a terrific effort first up, narrowly edged out by Lord Of Cloud and ran to a Timeform figure of 83.
On the back of a strong debut campaign where he was competitive in group company, the Michael Clements-trained runner is probably the one to follow out of the race and looks to have a big preparation ahead.
Later in the day Sacred Magic was able to continue his strong recent form with a win in the Class 4 Non Premier over 1400m.
The four-year-old gelding has now won three of his last five, runner up on the other two occasions and was able to run to a new career peak Timeform rating of 74, ten pounds above his previous win in a Kranji Stakes D (1200m).
The son of Battle Paint who came from midfield to beat Green Star and Black Quail has continued to improve in recent times and make his way through the grades.
With just the 11 starts to his name he is open to further improvement and worth keeping an eye on going forward.
