Battle Hero wins 2018 J Mouritz’gas - Cyril Flower Listed $100,000 at Ascot (WA), 1200m.
Last start winner of the Pinjarra Classic (Listed, 1300m) Battle Hero gave little else a chance, leading all the way for win ten and career earnings of $766,550. Under Jarrad Noske he jumped away well and reached the lead inside the first 200m.
Hugging the rail into the home straight he burst clear at the 200m surging away by three lengths and thereafter was able to take it easy to the line.
Royal Missile pulled four wide into the straight and ran on fairly well for second from Infathuated who was last into the straight and ran on strongly without chance for third.
