Singapore Racing - Weekend Review - 24th & 26th of November

Tesoro Privado has picked up his second win as many starts with a nice win over 1400m at Kranji on Sunday in the Novice.

The lightly raced three-year-old gelding had broken through the start prior in an Initiation over the mile and the drop back to 1400m didn’t bother the Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner who found himself settling off the leaders from the wide barrier.

Hitting the lead inside the 200m, Tesoro Privado proved too strong over the concluding stages to run out a one and a half length winner over Lord Of Cloud in second with Refresh well back in third.

The son of Orpen (USA) ran to a new career peak Timeform figure of 74p some four pounds higher than his win the start prior over Auspicious Day.

Yet to miss the placings from all five career runs to date, Tesoro Privado is certainly a horse on the rise who will continue to make his way through the grades.

Lord Of Cloud in second also ran to a new career peak rating of 70 and has shown enough in his three outings to date to suggest he is worth keeping an eye on as well.

Later in the day Lim’s Archer also secured his second win in a row with a nice two length win in the Class 4 over 1700m on the Polytrack.

Winning over the mile the start before, also in a Class 4 race, the Lee Freedman-trained runner ran to the exact same Timeform rating of 75 to win by two lengths over Amazing Man and Zac Ace.

Going straight to the lead from the middle barrier, Lim’s Archer did have battle with Amazing Man in the straight but did his best work over the final 200m to kick clear.

Having been part of the Freedman stable for four starts now, the five-year-old gelding is racing in his best form since coming to Singapore and has now won between 1200m-1700m and looked very strong at the back end of this race.

Amazing Man was gallant is second but peaked on his run at the 200m but continues to race very well in recent times and ran up to his winning figure of 62 the start prior.

On Friday night Mighty Conqueror was able to return to the winners circle with a nice win in the Kranji Stakes C over 1200m on the Polytrack.

Settling on the speed from the good draw, the Mark Walker-trained runner took the lead at the 200m and secured a strong win over Silkino in second with Hero I Am third.

Mighty Conqueror returned a Timeform figure of 86 a new career peak and one pound above his win over Red Dawn in a Class 3 back in August.

Having won six of his 16 career runs, the five-year-old is building an impressive career record and relatively lightly raced could continue to improve.
