Consistent sprinter in lesser grades, It’s It followed his good form since resuming in taking out his first stakes success in 31 starts here. He was quickly away and went straight to the front. He then ran along at a good tempo, got a break at the 300m and then held on with his weight advantage to score in a photo.
The favourite First Among Equals settled in third place on the rails from his good barrier (1), got along the inner from the 200m and kept finishing gamely for the closest of seconds putting up a strong effort under his 61kg top weight, conceding 7kg to the winner.
Lockroy had a nice trip in fourth place, one out and one back. He challenged at the 200m and kept fighting on, just lasting to take the minor placing in a photo.
