Quatronic wins 2017 Arrowfield Ortensia Stakes Listed $150,000 at Scone (NSW), 1100m.
The Matt Dunn-trained Quatronic was a good all the way winner. He was quickly away from his outside barrier (11), went to front and then steadied the pace, grabbed a clear break on turning for home and then fought back to win well, sprinting home in a fast 33.03.
Deploy was a handy fourth, went to second at the 200m and kept making ground on the leader, in the sprint home, to take a good second while Dothraki raced outside the leader to the home turn and held on well for a good third.
The favourite Nieta raced in eighth place (wide with cover) and made ground in the straight, without threatening for (2.7 lengths) fourth, being disadvantaged by the sprint home conditions of the race.
