Sweet Sherry wins 2017 Ubet Euclase Stakes Group 2 $500,000 at Morphettville (SA), 1200m.
Sweet Sherry put up a good effort in winning here. Having her third run this preparation she had a good trip in sixth place, between runners, angled into clear running at the home turn, took the lead at the 150m and then fought back to win well.
Fuhryk settled well back in large 17-horse field, was still 13th (near the inner) at the home turn, switched across heels at the 200m and ran on well for a late closing second.
So You Too raced in tenth place, between runners, got through to fifth at the 200m and kept running on nicely for third while the favourite Ken’s Dream was a handy fourth before making a move nearing the home turn but he just battled from that point to finish (4.3 lengths) seventh.
