The Darren Weir-trained mare Amelie's Star is building a very good record now winning five of 11 starts, putting up a good effort in scoring here, her second Group success. She settled in eighth place, three wide with cover, before improving (deep) at the home turn. She then ran on strongly, proving too good in the closing stages to win well.
Have Another Glass raced outside the leader (Sort After), got to the front at the 50m and then fought well for a good second.
Miles Of Krishan raced in fourth place, one out and one back, challenged on straightening and then battled strongly for a good third while Sort After led the field to the closing stages before holding on for (1.9 lengths) fourth after running a bold race.
