Tulip wins 2017 Chandon S Magic Night Stakes Group 3 $175,000 at Rosehill (NSW) 2yoFillies, 1200m.
Tulip backed up her good form after her first three starts in Victoria to win very well at her first attempt the Sydney direction. She was smartly away from her wide barrier (11) and settled in seventh place (deep) before improving (wide) rounding the home turn. She challenged at the 200m got to the front at the 100m and then went on to win impressively.
Alizee raced in third place on the rails, moved up nearing the home turn, got to the front at the 200m and then battled on well for second.
Memento settled back in ninth place from her wide barrier (15), put in a good run in the centre of the track from the 300m and ran on well to take a promising third.
Sweet Deal was fifth on the rails to the home turn and battled on quite well to take (4.4 lengths) fourth while the favourite Limbo Soul was quickly away, battled well when challenged on straightening but then tired over the latter stages to finish (4.5 lengths) fifth.
