Ken's Dream followed his impressive nine length win in an Echuca Three-Year-Old Maiden (1000m) on 7 August to score a very good win, stepping up quickly to Listed class here. He began well and soon went to the front. He was then pressured in the mid-stages before drawing clear on straightening and then fought back to score a very good win.
Dam Ready crossed to race outside the leader (Ken’s Dream), he challenged nearing the home turn and then kept fighting gamely for a very good second.
The wellsupported Throssell, a winner of his first two starts, raced in fifth place (between runners), before getting to fourth (under riding) at the home turn. He then kept battling on quite well to take the minor placing.
