Morvada wins 2016 Dominant Oaklands Plate Listed $100,000 at Morphettville (SA) 2yo, 1600m.
Morvada followed up his third in the SA Sires’ Produce Stakes (Gr 3, 1400m) at this track on 30 April to run out an easy winner here. He was smartly away and then enjoyed a good trip in third place before moving up comfortably nearing the home turn. He went to the front at the 200m and then raced away to score impressively.
With A Bit Of Dash crossed to race outside the leader (Baroque), she briefly got to the front on straightening and then held on for second, having no chance with the winner.
Nina Peak was back in fifth place, one off the rails, was under riding when the pace picked up at the 600m and then kept battling on to take the minor placing.
