No Pushover wins 2016 N.Z. Bloodstock Ins. Inglewood Listed NZ$50,000 at Riccarton Park (NZ), 3yoFillies, 1600m.
A handy three barrier saw No Pushover head for the front and the rail early although she was headed soon after which set up a perfect trail. She held her position around the last corner, saving valuable ground and was presented with a lovely split (one off the fence) into the home straight, which allowed her to race up and pass the front runner then race clear. At the 100m she was kept up to her work but her jockey, Masa Tanaka, put the whip away with 50m to run and she had an easy time of it to the line.
Goodsav pulled out widest around the bend and the last corner yet strangely, her rider went back inside for a run but was held up until the 250m. Over the last 150m she ran strongly but much too late yet a good second.
Deedee Panache was midfield (rails) around the bend, got off the rail as they straightened but into the straight weaved back to the inner, making a spirited run to be second at the 100m and then hold on for third.
