Ideal Image won impressively. She began well from her inside barrier (1) and settled nicely in third place on the rails behind a very steady early pace (first 1200m 1:17.52) on the Good4 track. She moved up well (three wide) rounding the home turn, dashed to the front at the 200m and then raced away to score effortlessly, sprinting home in a quick 34.71 (last 600m).
Vampi Lass raced outside the leader (Champagne Charger), briefly took the lead on straightening and then held on for second, having no chance with the winner.
Cosmic Storm was back in tenth place, between runners, saved ground along the rails rounding the home turn, went to third at the 200m and fought on to hold the minor placing.
