Tradesman wins 2015 Belmont Guineas Listed $100,000 at Belmont Park (WA) 3yo, 1600m.
Tradesman made it three wins from five starts in taking this out in good style. He settled well in fourth place, went to third on turning for home turn, took the lead at the 200m and went on to win impressively, running the 1600m out well.
Outsider Charge Ahead was back in ninth place on the rails. He got along the inside rounding the home turn and went to fourth at the 200m. He then ran on well over the closing stages for a surprisingly good second.
Coming Back was seventh on the rails, switched out at the home turn and kept running on nicely in the centre of the track for a good third.
Favourite Top Show looked to be going well in sixth place, one off the rails, but he was under riding coming to the home turn and faded in the straight to finish 14th, beaten 14 lengths, in the Soft6 conditions.
