Bohemian Lily was a most impressive winner. She went forward from her wide barrier (10) and gradually worked to the lead by the 1400m. She then ran along at a solid pace, increasing her lead from the 600m and then drew right away over the final stages, in a strong front-running performance.
Col 'N' Lil was eighth in the early part, before making a move from the 1400m going to second at the 1000m. She then chased the leader gamely for the remainder of the race for a most creditable second.
Whatalovelyday was back in third most of the way. She turned for home a distant third and kept battling on to hold the minor placing.
Yulong Baby was a distant ninth and was under strong riding from the 600m. She then kept plugging on well for fourth.
Exquisite Jewel was back in seventh place on the rails. She was under pressure from the 600m and plugged on for (5.8 lengths) fifth.
Favourite Platinum Witness was midfield in the early stages before being shuffled back to a distant tenth. She went deep from the 500m but ran on only fairly in the straight for a disappointing (7.3 lengths) sixth.
