Divertire wins 2015 Darley Dark Jewel Classic Group 3 $200,000 at Scone (NSW) Fillies & Mares, 1400m.
A good finish with the first six horses finishing within two lengths of the winner Divertire, who ran on well from the tail of the field to score. She was ridden quietly by Danny Beasley before improving between runners nearing the home turn. She switched deep at the 300m and came with a strong run to score in good style by a length at the post.
Calming Influence went to the front and was travelling well when she turned for home with a good break. She was only overtaken at 50m, finishing second after a bold run in the lead.
Bound For Earth was a handy fourth to the home turn, got to second at the 200m and then battled on quite well for third.
Refer was last in the 14-horse field, got a split at the home run, went sixth at the 200m and fought on nicely for fourth.
Favourite Rose Of Choice was midfield with a trail, moved up well on turning for home and briefly looked a threat at the 150m before finishing a sound (1.6 lengths) fifth.
Top weight (59kg) Diademe was near last to the home turn and ran on well in the closing stages for sixth, beaten two lengths, putting up a smart effort.
