2015 Border Security G.C. Bracelet Listed April 25 - Gold Coast

Bohemian Lily 2015 Border Security G.C. Bracelet Listed $125,000 at Gold Coast (QLD) 3yo Fillies, 1800m.

New Zealand-bred filly Bohemian Lily, having her second start for the Gai Waterhouse stable, scored in good style and laid claims for the upcoming Queensland Oaks (Gr 1, 2200m) on 30 May. She settled well outside the leader (Sheiswhatshis), put pressure on that runner nearing the home turn, got the upper hand at the 200m and then fought on strongly to win by a neck.

Col 'N' Lil travelled well in sixth place, one off the rails, before putting in her bid from the 300m. She got to third at the 100m and fought on solidly for second, in a good staying effort.

Sheiswhatsheis came across quickly from her wide barrier (12) and soon took the lead. She then raced a bit keenly in the early stages but then settled well. She was challenged coming to the home turn and kept fighting on in the straight for a sound third, beaten just under two lengths, her first defeat in four starts to date.
