Ondina wins 2015 Mittys Laelia Stakes Listed $80,000 at Morphettville (SA) 3yoFillies, 1600m.
Ondina was used up to take the lead running the field along at a good pace. Taken off the fence on turning for home, Ondina still led and battled gamely the whole way to the line to hold off the late challenge of Into The Mist on her outside.
Into The Mist settled down a little worse than midfield four back on the fence. She travelled into the race improving her position before the home turn, switching of the rails before coming out wide on turning for home. She responded well to hard riding to just go under a good effort.
