Bereft of early pace, Serena Miss recovered between horses to travel one off the fence in seventh. She tracked into the clear four off the rail on straightening and staged a strong challenge to prevail by the barest of margins.
Nahema began smartly before steadying to find a lovely spot in fourth. She ranged to challenge three wide on straightening and fought back doggedly when collared by the eventual winner at the 100m. Following a protest, second against first, places remained the same.
Race favourite Strata Lady used early pace to lead after 200m. After setting a solid pace, Strata Lady kicked well to hold a handy advantage at the 200m and only yielded late to finish third.
Reminisce was eased to last from the outside barrier (11). Second last on the inside at the 600m, Reminisce tracked near the rail in the straight and once across heels at the 100m she narrowed the margin on the first three at a rate of knots to finish close up in fourth.
