Eclair Samba settled nicely in sixth place, one off the rails, behind a steady tempo. He remained there to the 600m, moved up rounding the home turn, challenged at the 200m and finished a bit too well to score by half a length.
The favourite Lucky Lucky Lucky went back from barrier eight and settled last in the nine-horse field. He made a wide run from the 600m, put in a strong run in the straight and kept running on well for (half length) second after being disadvantaged by a steady early pace.
Dylanson was fourth, one out and one back, moved up coming to the home turn, got to a narrow lead at the 200m and fought for a close-up third.
Vima led and set a moderate pace, then battled back quite well for (1.2 lengths) fourth.
