Platinum Witness wins 2015 Wellfield Desert Gold Stakes Group 3 NZ$ 70,000 at Trentham (NZ) 3yoFillies, 1600m.
The favourite Platinum Witness scored impressively. She travelled well in sixth place, one off the rails, before switching wide to make her bid on rounding the home turn. She took the lead at the 200m and then went on to win easily by two lengths. She is a classy mare.
Attention Seeker went to the front and set quite a good tempo. She was overtaken at the 200m but fought back well for a good second.
Exquisite Jewel raced in second last place in the 11-horse field to the 600m. She fanned wide on straightening and ran on well for a good third.
Vive La Difference was a handy fourth, moved up at the home turn and held on well to hold fourth, beaten just under three lengths.
