Deiheros wins 2015 G.C. $1 Million M.M. Guineas $1 Million at Gold Coast (QLD) 3yo, 1400m.
Smart SA-trained three-year-old Deiheros scored a good win. He was smartly away and enjoyed a good trip in fourth place. He dashed clear half-way down the straight and went on with win clearly by two lengths.
Testashadow went back from his wide barrier (12) and raced in near the tail of the large 16-horse field. He was 14th at the home turn and made late ground to take a good second.
Echo Gal was handy all the way and fought on nicely for third.
The favourite Hijack Hussy was well back as expected but was under riding from the 700m and failed to run and finished a disappointing tenth, beaten four and a half lengths.
