Antique Belle wins 2014 Jungle Mist Classic Listed $100,000 at Ascot (WA) 3yo+Fillies & Mares, 1200m.
Antique Belle travelled well in fifth place, between runners, got into clear running nearing the 200m, took the lead at the 100m and then finished too well to score nicely by a length.
The favourite Cool Trade was caught three wide without cover in thirdplace from her difficult barrier (11). She moved up well to challengeat the 200m and kept fighting gamely for second, after a widetrip.
My Sister Lil went back to last from her outside barrier (12), remained in last place to the home turn and caught the eye runningon late for third.
Outsider Zonte was just past midfield, wide withcover, before switching out nearing the 200m. She then ran on quite well to take (2 lengths) fourth while the second favourite Hussy By Choice went straight to the front and led the field to the 150m but then tired for (2.5 lengths) fifth.
