Delicacy began well and settled in a nice spot, third on the rails from her good barrier (3). She got an inside run on turning for home to take the lead at the 200m. She then fought back well to score narrowly but well.
Dancing Express raced in sixth place before improving wide with cover rounding the home turn. She challenged at the 200m and fought strongly to the post failing by only a head in finishing second.
The previously unbeaten Ideal Image, a winner of her three prior starts, settled just beyond midfield from her wide barrier (10). She raced wide with cover from the 800m, switched deep on straightening and kept running on, gradually making up ground to finish a sound third, now looking suited to further than today’s 1600m.
