Wawail continues to progress quickly through the classes stepping up to take out this Listed race, remaining unbeaten in three starts. She began well and retained a narrow lead on the rails before drawing clear on turning for home. She then fought back particularly well to score by a head at the post, putting up quite a smart effort.
The favourite Wine Tales raced back in the field, about ninth and wide with cover before fanning deep on turning for home. She then ran on strongly, in the sprint home, putting up a smart effort for second after being disadvantaged by the moderate early tempo (first 800m 50.20).
More Radiant had a good trip, third on the rails, challenged nearing the 300m and kept fighting on for a close-up third while Fitocracy held on for fourth after being handy all the way.
