Ideal Image was ridden patiently and settled midfield but she switched deep when the pace slowed and was then trapped wide. She moved up nearing the turn (wide with cover) and showed a very good turn of foot to hit the lead nearing the post to score narrowly but well.
Prete A Partir was a handy fifth between runners, challenged half-way down the straight, hit the lead at the 100m but she could not hold off the late-closing winner to finish second.
Delicacy raced outside the leader, challenged strongly at the 200m and then fought on for a sound third.
The favourite Silver Magic Ships was trapped wide without cover, moved up nearing the turn but tired on straightening to finish (5.5 lengths) 13th.
