Antonio Lombardo was handy through the early stages before pressing on to second at the 800m. He sprinted hard to gain an advantage at the 250m and never relented in his run to the line.
Shandream worked through to lead at the 1000m, entered into a duel with Antonio Lombardo from the 300m and remained valiant under siege to finish second.
Fix settled three back on the inner, but was keen for a few strides when steadied at the 1100m. Fix travelled on the bridle, four lengths off the lead at the 600m, ranged four wide at the 300m and kept up a solid finish for third.
Atozed came from second last with a big run wide on the track to claim fourth, in a line up of horses contesting fourth through to ninth.
